Hue was once a 
wedding gift of land presented of his marriage to 
the Viet Princess, Huyen Tran in 13th Century.
 This historical marriage did integrate two Territories O, Ly
 in the Viet, a pre-condition for the formation of Thuan Hoa later on.
Hue was choosen as the capital  of the south by the Nguyen 
Lords is in the 16 century as the  Nguyen Lords established
their own territory in the south which was reigned by 10 
Lords started by Lord Nguyen Kim in 1533.
 In 1558, Lord Nguyen Hoang was appointed to reign
 Thuan Hoa which was a mountainous and Hesert area.
 then he was building up his own farm  at Ai Tu village, 
Trieu Phong district and established
 the reign of the mine Nguyen lords in the south. 
Through 200 years of developing and expanding the South.
 Nguyen Lords always stayed  in Hue: 
 Lord Nguyen Phuc Nguyen (1613-1634) in 1626 
Moved to Phuc Lan Yen village ( Quang Dien- Thua Thien Hue).
 Lord Nguyen Phuc Lan (1635-1648) moved the capital 
to kim Long( Hue city0. Lord Nguyen Phuc Toan( 1687-1691) 
Stayed at Pju Xuan village (Huong Tra-Thua Thien Hue). 
Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu once again moved to Bac Vong 
( Quang Dien district). In 1744, Phu Xuan was rebuilt as Capital
 of the south.  By the end of the 18th century Tay Son dynasty 
was established and was lasting 14 year at Phu Xuan as Nguyen 
Hue took the throne  under the name of Quang Trung.
After defeating Tay Son, taking over imperial
 city Phu Xuan in 1802 Gia Long took the 
throne to establish Nguyen Dynasty. 
Phu Xuan was again chosen as Capital.
 The old Imperial city Phu xuan was reuilt
 into what has been existing  till now as Hue Citadel. Firstly named
Phu Xuan then changed to Hue which was a political and cultural center
 of the South and then was the  capital of the country after unification.
Hue Ctadel was built by King Gia Long, Nguyen Anh in 805
 and then was upgraded by King Minh Mang in 1832.
 These Kings under Nguyen Dynasty had built a number of tombs,
palaces, temples, pagodas, supreme harmonies.
 Hue is imperial city with the royal architectural 
complex, valuable heritage left by our previous generation.
  Hue  Citadel city located on  the right bank of Huong
 (perfume) river in an area of 8 villages: Phu Xuan, Van Xuan,
 Dien Thai, An Van, An Hoa, An MY, The Lai, An Buu. Hue Citadel 
has under gone many upgrading repairs in 1824,1831,
 1835,1842,1848. There much of material and human
resources contribution from all much of material and human 
resources contribution from allparts of country for the construction.
 In the Citadel south of Huong river, outside Hue, 
there are 7 complex of temples,
 tombs of King Gia Long to Khai Dinh. Nguen Dynasty has totally
13 Kings, among them only 7 could be in throne till they died:  
Gia Long, Minh Mang,Thieu Tri, Tu Duc, Kien Phuc, Dong Khanh,
  Khai Dinh. By the mid 19th century, many Kings under
Ngyen Dynasty bravely fought again foreign invaders:
 King Han Nghi, Thanh Thai, Duy Tanof which their patriotism 
has been kept as lessons until now.Huong river divides the city in
 to two different parts; Northern part is Hue Citadel
 which is very attractive for tourists and was recognized by 
UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage. 
Along South Bank of the river is a modern city -
 Le Loi area- comprising offices, hotels, schools, hospitals. 
The city inhabitants live in 4 main areas:
      Dong Ba area where there are super markets  and trade centers of Hue.
      Gia Hoi with Dieu De ancient pagoda.  
    Ben Ngu - An Cuu is industrial area where workers,
 labourers are living. Vi Da stoms - excavation area is residence 
of Royal families and retired officers.  
Hue imperial city is the combination of
 4 parts of different characteristict, 
which more than 10 bridges over Huong river.
 The 6-span Trang Tien bridges are Dong Ba, Gia Hoi, Phu Cam
....Hue also has other  historical interests along Huong river
 as Hon Chen temple locating on Hon Chen mountain,
 ancient Thien Mu pagoda is on Ha Khe hill 
(built by Lord Nguyen Hoang in 1601)
. Thanh Ha village (at down stream of Huong river) was
 busy port in the 17th, 18th centuries and atbeginning
 of the 19th century...All those historical heritages makes 
Hue  a vivid historical museum in Vietnam.
